The mining state of Saxony is home to a valuable treasure – it consists
of geological and scientifi c data relating to raw materials, reports and
information on the regional subsurface.
This treasure trove of data is now available online and for free for you
on various portals.
From 2013 to 2024, the project “Rohsto daten Sachsen” (ROHSA 3),
or Saxon Raw Material Data, collected data on Saxon ore and spar
raw materials from all relevant archives throughout Germany. The core
tasks of the project were the digitisation and public provision of the
extensive information.
