The State Reservoir Administration of Saxony was founded in 1992 as the first public enterprise in the Free State of Saxony. It is a part of the Saxon State Ministry for Environment and Agriculture and carries out numerous sovereign duties. These include raw water supply, watercourse maintenance and flood protection.
